On Friday the 16th of February Foy’s Arcade collaborated with Fitted for Work in order to host their #NewYearConfidentMe fundraising event. Us ladies at Foy’s (Erin + Jennifer) were also lucky enough to attend and it’s safe to say we had a brilliant time learning about styling and fashion all to support a fabulous organisation. This event was possible due to the continuing sponsorship of FFW by ISPT. If you want to see pictures of our night visit our Facebook page.
Longtime Fitted for Work volunteer and Miss Australia International 2018 finalist Catherine Ayad was our beautiful and vibrant host for the night, sharing her own experiences growing up facing bullying and overcoming them to become the confident leader she is today. Since the event, Catherine was crowned Miss Australia International 2018 and will be travelling to America for the next stage of the competition. We are wishing her the best of luck!
Following on with the theme of the night, Suzanne Dekyvere of ‘An Air of Distinction’ held an interactive workshop, guiding the audience through styling tips on how to dress the “real you”. We are all going to be saying #flawsome from now on! All guests received goodie bags and our raffle winners went home with some great prizes including a voucher to host their own event here at Foy’s.
Fitted for Work aims to support and empower women, bringing them back into the workforce and helping them turn their passions into careers. Another one of their important initiatives is The Conscious Closet which stocks a range of recycled women’s fashion. All the FFW ladies and volunteers wore items purchased from The Conscious Closet on the evening and all proceeds go directly towards helping their clients.
Thank you again to Donna de Zwart, and the rest of the Fitted for Work team as well as all our fab attendees for the memorable and inspiring evening!
