Vic Department of Transport IDPwD Event

Foy's Arcade Events, Hybrid, Panel, Presentation, Virtual

This year, celebrating International Day of disability has never been so important. ISPT and the Foy’s Arcade team are so happy to work with the Victorian Department of Transport to deliver an amazing hybrid event to spread awareness for disability and inclusion in transport.

We enjoyed presentations, personal stories and a panel discussion going through the amazing work that has been done to our transport system so far, but acknowledging that we have a long way to go to make sure travelling around victoria is safe and simple for everyone.

ISPT and DoT are committed to ensuring the people of Victoria continue to thrive going to and from our places of work, rest and play.

We enjoyed a great example of this from a DoT video showing David and his Guide Dog, Zinnia. Together they use our public transport network to travel into the office for work. We then learned about the DoT Transport Accessibility Strategy and Action Plan, which sets targets to improve the well-being and productivity of people at DoT who have a disability, and create an accessible transport network for all Victorians.

Thanks to the team at DoT for your efforts in pulling this together, we’re so proud to be a part of this journey, making an impact by supporting your events at Foy’s Arcade has truly been a pleasure!

This video was filmed and produced by The Victorian Government of Transport capturing moments throughout the day at Foy’s. Thanks for sharing with us.

Looking forward to many more events next year.
